This is a fun memorized deck spelling routine. I enjoyed it! Allan is using Tetra-Red in this video.
In the 1885 book Sleight of Hand, Edwin Sachs has five methods to perform the CAAN effect. This effect has version three as its starting point. I added in a second phase where I think of a card, and the spectator thinks of a card, so a selection and control are now redundant; the demo phase is also no longer needed. I also changed it to a spelling effect of a friend’s name — this friend’s name never has to be revealed. So it can transform the routine into a mental effect – how did you know their name?
